Applications Of Brass Terminal Blocks

Brass is one of the most popular alloys. Brass is an alloy of zinc and copper. After steel, it is the most widely used alloy. Alloys are substances which enjoy the properties of both the component metal whom which they are obtained. Upon our needs and requirements, alloys are derived which conjure the features of all the component metals which are used to obtain the alloy structure.

Brass is highly produced in India on a large scale. Thus India has many number or brass industries and brass manufacturers. Many components which are designed using brass, production units, exports etc are found everywhere. So let us have a look on brass terminal blocks.

Brass is used in a wide range in various fields. Few of them are mechanics, construction, electrical, plumbing etc. due to its special electrical properties like, resistivity, moderate electrical conductivity etc., brass is used in electrical applications. Out of them, brass terminal blocks are one of the major applications. From the core to connections and clams where we need to join wires and other conductors, brass terminal blocks are used.

Basically, brass terminals blocks are modular insulated blocks which can save two or more wires having a clamping device which is surrounded by an insulating body. It has more than two slots where the wire terminals are connected which are not needed to be connected. Using brass screws, wires are firmly fixed in these slots. Brass screws are proved all along the set.

Brass terminal blocks provide us an insulator which provides safety for the electrical components. They also avoid current shocks that might arise at the junctions. The insulator is present surrounding all over the set.

On looking at the color of the material and shape, one can easily identify brass terminal blocks in the household. Every brass terminal block will be having slots where the wire terminals are placed. We can find these blocks in the switch boards of house where they are associated with every connection. The major electrical appliances like electric geysers also make use of brass terminal blocks for wire connections.

The industrial brass connectors and the Brass Terminal Blocks which we find in households are completely different from each other. Nearly 10 wires can be connected at a time since they have many slots where the wires can be connected. For a firm connection of wires and for insulation from one wire to the other one, all the slots should be fitted properly with wire terminals and then tightened with brass screws.
